Join WACCT in a workshop series for educators focusing on Climate Change, which remains a top priority in the international community and intersects with prominent social issues like poverty, development, and globalization. The aim of the Global Challenges and Innovations Workshop Series is to provide teachers with the materials and tools they need to foster an investigative classroom in accordance with the Connecticut Social Studies Frameworks.
Workshop: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM
This program will include: a keynote speaker, collaborative sessions, integration of resources and evidence, innovative solutions, and taking informed action to address global health concerns and climate change issues. Lunch will be provided for participants of the workshop.
This program is hosted by the World Affairs Council of America and sponsored by the Connecticut State Department of Education in collaboration with the Connecticut Council for the Social Studies and the Connecticut Geographical Alliance.
