October 1, 2020 – For the first time ever, the Luminary Award, the Council’s annual award gala, went virtual in 2020.
On Thursday, October 1, we had the honor of celebrating the local, national, and global leadership of Paul Bucha, Recipient of the Medal of Honor.
And now we are thrilled to share with you.
Revisit the evening, including remarks from Major General Francis Evon, Adjutant General of the Connecticut National Guard, opening by General David Petraeus (U.S. Army, Ret.), and an inspiring discussion on what leadership means to General Lloyd Austin (U.S. Army, Ret.), and General Joseph Votel (U.S. Army, Ret.).
The Luminary Award was created to honor remarkable individuals who have had a profound impact on global affairs, with an emphasis on the betterment of the world.
Thank you to everyone who made this celebration possible. To find out more information, visit the World Affairs Council of Connecticut website at: https://ctwac.org/luminary-award/
