Classrooms, COVID-19, and Future of Education

July 22, 2020 – All around the world, students, teachers, and communities are asking the same question – what will the classroom look like this fall?

We talk with Emiliana Vegas, PhD, senior fellow and co-director of the Center for Universal Education at the Brookings Institution, to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on education around the world and address questions such as:

How do we balance the necessity of educational opportunities for students around the world while managing health risks? Has COVID-19 widened existing inequalities in education in our country and between nations? What lessons can we adopt from other nations as the U.S. looks to reopen schools this fall? How will the pandemic change education as we know it?

Moderated by Megan Clark Torrey, CEO.
