February 4, 2026 – Global superstar, Grammy winner, and Puerto Rican icon Bad Bunny lit up the stage at the Super Bowl LX halftime show on February 8th.

Before kickoff, we sat down with Dr. Jorell Meléndez-Badillo – UConn alum, author of Puerto Rico: A National History, and the historian who worked with Bad Bunny on his Puerto Rican residency and DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS – for a deeper look at Puerto Rico’s history, its complex relationship with the U.S., and the future the Puerto Rican people envision for themselves.

We also explored Bad Bunny’s meteoric rise, the messages in his music, and his global impact.
