The World Affairs Council’s 2014 Model United Nations kicks off highlighting the new Special Committee on Refugee Resettlement at our October 7 program ” Forced Out! From Conflict to Connecticut: The Story of Refugees in CT” at the University of Saint Joseph. Delegates will travel to the UN Missions in NYC on October 30 to be briefed by the countries they have chosen to represent, and the program culminates on December 5-6 at the University of Hartford where Model United Nations delegates will be debating Cyber Terrorism, Global Cap & Trade, The Many Faces of Violence Against Women, Wildlife Trafficking and Conservation, and Refugee Resettlement.
