Why We Need the Global Health Security Agenda

April 15, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm

In February of 2014, the U.S. and international partners launched the Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) with the goal of building global capacity to respond to infectious disease threats. Over 30 countries, along with international organizations including the World Health Organization, joined.

So what happened?

We talk with Ambassador (ret.) Bonnie Jenkins, a leading U.S. official in the launch and implementation of the GHSA, current nonresident senior fellow at Brookings, founder and president of the Women of Color Advancing Peace, Security and Conflict Transformation (WCAPS), and president of Global Connections Empowering Global Change LLC. Moderated by CEO Megan Torrey.
