Sanctioning Global Human Rights Abusers

From atrocities against Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar, to conditions in detention centers in China, to the individuals involved in the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, Monica Ager Jacobsen has been instrumental in developing U.S. sanctions to target atrocities and human rights abusers around the world.

Join us to go behind-the-scenes with Monica Ager Jacobsen, Attorney Adviser, Office of the Legal Adviser, Department of State, and her work to shape the complex legal and policy issues involved in imposing sanctions against dozens of human rights abusers worldwide.
