The close of a fiscal year and our 2018-2019 season is always bittersweet: the end of a great year but the hopeful beginning of an even better one.

Here is a timeline of CTWAC’s work during the 2018-2019 season, to further the mission of engaging our community in dialogue on critical global issues and connecting Connecticut to the world. This is all made possible by the support of CTWAC members and friends, the engagement of our community partners, and the work of our dedicated Board of Directors, team, and volunteers.

Model United Nations 2018

Our Model United Nations program keeps growing! In 2018, over 1,000 high school students from 30+ schools in Connecticut participated in MUN and debated some of the world’s most pressing issues.

Global Security Forum

Global Security Forum: New World Powers had more high-caliber speakers and fantastic discussion about topics ranging from cybersecurity to China’s rise to power.

Diplomat Reception 2019

In its second year, the Diplomat Reception garnered representatives from 25+ countries and as a result produced the first CTWAC Connecticut Global Trade Report.
