Through constant innovation and commitment to the environment\, United Technologies is setting the highest standards of sustainability in Connecticut and across the world. \nKeynote Speaker\nRobert Ballard\nRenowned Ocean Explorer and Scientist\nBest known for his 1985 discovery of the Titanic\, Dr. Robert Ballard has succeeded in tracking down numerous other significant shipwrecks\, including the German battleship Bismarck\, the lost fleet of Guadalcanal\, the U.S. aircraft carrier Yorktown (sunk in the World War II Battle of Midway)\, and John F. Kennedy’s boat\, PT-109.\nDr. Ballard is Founder and President of the Ocean Exploration Trust\, Explorer-In-Residence at the National Geographic Society\, and Commissioner for the U.S. Commission on Ocean Policy. He served in the U.S. Navy for more than 30 years and continues to work with the Office of Naval Research.
