DESCRIPTION:Engage with important global issues\, prepare for future success\, and learn to lead at the CTWAC Model UN Summer Institute!\n\n\nThis 4-day virtual Institute will be held from July 7th to the July 10th (10:00 am to 3:30 pm – sample day below). During this time\, you will learn specific strategies that will take your Model UN experience to the next level such as: \n– Public Speaking \n– Resolution Writing \n– Position Paper Writing \n– Parliamentary Procedure \nAfter the 4 days\, participants will have a better understanding of international politics and know how to view critical issues and global problems through the eyes of many different stakeholders\, whose opinions may be vastly different from their own. Participation in this program will propel students to successful academic careers and create confident future leaders in our global workforce. \nSample Day:\n10:00am – 11:00am : Topic Briefing \n(Break) \n1:00pm – 2:00pm : Skills Building – How to write a position paper/ How to give an opening speech \n(Break) \n2:30pm – 3:30pm : Skills Practice – Opening speech practice game \nWork at home: Begin writing your position paper for the debate on Friday
